Ambient music,
reimagined.

Ambient pioneer Steve Roach crafted every song. Computer scientist Eric Freeman created the generative experience. You shape them into living soundscapes — layered, spatial, and wrapped in 3D visuals that evolve with the music.

Each mix is built from spheres.

Living orbs of sound and light. Every sphere carries its own loop, its own visual identity, and its own behavior. Drag them through space to shape your soundscape. Together, they create something that never repeats.

Spheres

Designed for deep listening.

Spatial audio, generative visuals, and a community of ambient creators — all in your pocket.

Spatial Audio

Sound moves around you.

With AirPods, each sphere exists in 3D space. Turn your head and hear the mix shift. Head tracking places you inside the soundscape — not just listening, but inhabiting it.

Generative Visuals

Nebulae, plasma, vapor, ice.

Metal-powered shaders render each sphere in real time. Every visual evolves alongside the audio — no two moments are ever the same.

Ambient Pioneer & Sound Architect

Steve Roach

"You're completely in; you're inside of it, your life depends on it. That set the tone for everything that became my path in music."

One of the most prolific and influential voices in the history of electronic music. Since his debut NOW in 1982, Steve has built an extraordinary catalog of over 200 recordings — from the transcendent stillness of Structures from Silence to the tribal percussion and desert field recordings of Dreamtime Return, a double LP widely regarded as one of the defining works of ambient music.

Working from his studio in the Sonoran Desert near Tucson, Arizona, Steve forges immersive sonic landscapes from analog synthesizers, modular instruments, and didgeridoo — sounds shaped by decades living in proximity to the vast stillness of the American Southwest. His pioneering fusion of electronic and ethno-acoustic textures essentially created the tribal-ambient genre. Two Grammy nominations for Spiral Revelation and Molecules of Motion reflect a career that continues to push boundaries five decades in.

Every loop in Immersion Station was carefully extracted from the heart of Steve's soundworlds — chosen for their ability to interweave and evolve together in infinite, never-repeating combinations.

Eric Freeman

"The interface had to disappear — so all that's left is you and the sound moving through space around you."

Computer scientist, bestselling author, and software artist whose career lives at the intersection of technology and human experience. A Yale computer science graduate and former Chief Technology Officer at Disney, Eric was named to MIT Technology Review's TR35 list of top innovators under 35. His Head First series of technology books have reached millions of readers worldwide, translating complex systems into intuitive understanding.

For Immersion Station, Eric designed and built every layer of the experience from the ground up: a Metal-powered generative shader engine that gives each sphere its living visual identity, a spatial audio framework that places sound in 3D space with head-tracked precision, the sphere-based mixing interface, community infrastructure, and Immersion Radio. The result is an instrument purpose-built for Steve's five decades of sonic exploration — where code, sound, and light become inseparable.
